This Privacy Policy explains how SmartGroom ("SmartGroom", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you visit smartgroom.app or use our pet grooming software. Our core belief is simple: your salon's data belongs to your business.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you request access or contact us, we collect your name, email, phone, salon name, and anything you tell us about your business.
  • Your salon's data, if you become a customer. Client records, pet records, appointments and booking history you create in SmartGroom. This is your data, exportable by you at any time.
  • Automatically collected. Standard analytics via Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, device, approximate location — and standard server logs.

2. How we use it

To respond to your enquiry, provide and operate the software, process payments, send the appointment reminders and review requests you configure, improve the product, and meet legal obligations.

3. Payments

Payments and any customer card-on-file data are processed by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. SmartGroom does not store full card numbers.

4. Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. It sets cookies and collects usage data subject to Google's policies. You can block cookies in your browser or opt out of Google Analytics.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate — Stripe for payments, Google for analytics, and our hosting and form providers — and where required by law.

6. Data ownership and retention

Your client and pet data is yours. You can export it at any time, and request deletion of your account data. We retain enquiry data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above.
